time is the first machine. and in overthrowing it (as has been our primary
focus through our entire earth history) we attain that which comes in the
sight of the first cause. in manipulating it to the point of liberation from
it, we reach the point whereby we can, in our current human capacity, understand
'what makes time tick.' this act, which has been building in energy and
intensity for millions of 'years,' is one of primal, embrionic, creature/creator
communion. it is possible to overthrow time by using various time oriented
devices, as well as the ever-accessible methods for inward transcendence that
is wholly inverted. the mechanisms of NOW that saturate our lives are, in
essence, specifically designed to facilitate and actuate that trancendence in
a way that is wholly unique to this planet, and is as yet unmanifested in all
of creation. it is a merge of spirit and matter that is so full, so whole, so
balanced and liberated as to go virtually unnoticed in the eyes of those who
anticipate escape or imitate and guard false pattern. this merge is a balance,
and balance is not exploitive any more than it is passive. a balance rests
serenely in the neutral point, where it lies blissfully indifferent to the
extremes of any one side.
