rice is excellent for breakfast - mixed with any number of tasty things for a healthy, filling, energizing NON sugary start to the day... home grown fresh sprouts, grated carrot, cubed or crumbled tofu, beans or lentils, gomasio, seaweed shakes, olive oil, tahini, Bragg's, shoyu tamari, tekka, parsley, etc... pictured: short grain organic brown rice with fresh alfalfa sprouts, grated carrot, cubed tofu, olive oil, and Bragg's liquid aminos. brown or white rice - short or long grain - its all good with a little seasoning, something fresh and raw, and a little protein...

how to cook brown or white rice


scrambled tofu

reeeeeeeally good addition to a bowl of rice - mash 1 lb of tofu (1 lb. can serve 4-6 people), heat 1 tbsp. olive or sesame oil in a pan, add 1/4 tsp. curry powder and 1/4 tsp. tumeric and mix it in with the oil... add the crumbled tofu and stir to evenly blend all ingredients... lower heat to medium-high and continue frying - stirring every couple minutes... after the first few minutes, add 2 tsp. Bragg's Liquid Aminos (or to taste) and mix well... cook for 5-10 minutes depending on how toasty you like it... for a less spicy scramble - eliminate the curry and tumeric and just add a little sea salt (or Bragg's) and black pepper...

hot buttered rice: brown or white rice with a little Earth Balance Organic Whipped Butter Spread and Bragg's Liquid Aminos (or a pinch of sea salt) is DELICIOUS in the morning - add some spicy sprouts and/or a little gomasio too...
