4.2 clearing the space - giant tangles of invasive honeysuckle, multiflora rose, and grapevine, lots of fallen wood which was separated according to dryness and indoor burn-ability, some saplings and a few medium size trees (who were all thanked for giving their life to the space, and to the home fires next season) - it was a relatively clear spot with very few trees, amazingly level ground, and of course, millions of rocks... a firepit took care of all invasive brush and unusable wood...

4.14 next phase - getting the foundation more level, relocating the larger rocks which could not be moved by hand
