growing dome harvests and insights / gallery of the dome's construction - in 2007 a growing dome was built to provide year-round fresh produce in our northeast temperate climate, in an exceptionally clean, protected environment and inspiring geodesic space... the dome comes as a kit, and includes all primary components needed for construction - the remaining basic, locally available parts are obtained by the builder in order to minimize shipping and energy use... it was constructed by us - planted - and we have been enjoying fresh organic heirloom greens, vegetables, and herbs for most of the winter

raised beds - experimental gardens - wildflower cultivation - trees - native ecology... there are several outdoor locations for growing vegetables, herbs, flowers, and natural ground covers / lawn alternatives... large patches of wild raspberries have been cared for and tended to in order to flourish, and each year they continue to provide an abundant supply of fruit... wild flowers, bushes, shrubs, and many other plants have been cultivated and shared... please refer to the following guidelines for a simple, yet comprehensive overview of all the basics for GROWING YOUR OWN - preparing, planting, caring, and harvesting the fruits of this labor of love
