vegetable chow mein with mung bean sprouts



  • 1 bunch celery chopped
  • 1 lg onion cut in half and sliced into half moons
  • 2 cups mung sprouts
  • 1 cup cabbage sliced thin (optional)
  • heat 2 Tbs of olive oil in a large iron skillet... saute sliced onion for 1 minute... add chopped celery and cabbage and mix... add 1/2 cup water and cover. cook until just limp...... about 7 minutes... add mung sprouts and cook for additional minute...

    mix 1 Tbs arrowroot or 1 Tbs kudzu starch with 1 cup of water and 3 Tbs braggs liquid aminos... pour onto limp veggies and stir until thickened... shake of black pepper...

    serve with brown rice and mixed green salad
